Discrepancy Analyst (Managed Care Logging)

Maintain web tool and managed care logging system, work discrepancy reports for managed care payers, and verify accuracy of payments received by facility. Managed care and contract interpretation experience, analytical skills, Microsoft Excel proficiency and ability to work multiple tasks independently with little supervision. Responsible for generating and reviewing recoupment reports to determine appropriateness of the recoupments. Works with PAS staff to proactively identify additional recoupments. Contacts Payors and patients as needed to verify appropriate insurance plan. Resequences accounts as needed. Assigns appropriate Collections Series and forwards to appropriate area for follow-up. REQUIREMENTS
Experience Required: HS Diploma or GED, experience in related field, and clerical experience preferred. Should be able to perform basic mathematical calculations and balance and reconcile figures.
