Director of Social Work

Redstone Rehabilitation and Nursing Center located at 135 Benton Drive, East Longmeadow, MA is a state of the art facility providing sub acute physical and medical rehabilitation along with expert long term care.We have a total of 254 beds including a secure Alzheimer's Unit for focused dementia care and over six different skilled nursing units.
There is a physical, occupational and speech therapist on-site six days a week. In addition, there is a Respiratory Therapist in-house five days a week.
We are interviewing for a Director of Social Services, Massachusetts Licensed.The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the planning, organizing, implementing, evaluation and directing the overall operation of the Social Service Dept. in accordance with current federal and state and local guidelines and regulations as well as in accordance with established policies and procedures and to ensure that the medically related, emotional and social needs of the resident are met and maintained to the highest standards on an individual basis.
REQUIREMENTS
Develop resident care plan in areas of behavior, mood psycho-social needs.Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of social care plans and resident assessments.Collaborate with staff members, community agencies, consultants to resolve the needs and problems of the resident/family through the development of social service programs.Coordinating and supervising the efforts of the social work department staff.
MA Licensed, BSW, Social Work, MSW PreferredLong-term care experience preferredMental health background desired
