Director of Marketing - Extraordinary situation - Medical

Perhaps two times a year or so we see an opportunity extraordinary in many ways. This one qualifies--in spades.
Here's the situation: The current Director is a great guy I have known over 10 years. He is leaving my client to join a very early stage start-up (lots of equity, of course). His experience with this client has been so very positive that he has gladly agreed to play a major role in getting his replacement hired.
And this company is growing like crazy. The last couple of years they have increased business by 20% and 30%. And their bonuses are not arbitrary but based on specific milestones. This position's bonus from last year was over 25k.
A complete position description will be sent to qualified candidates. Highlights include direct supervision of 4 employees including 3 excellent product managers.
Compensation is very competitive -- especially for a low COL area like this.
REQUIREMENTS
And here is another extraordinary part of this position: the Client is NOT insisting candidates have prior experience at this level. And they are NOT insisting candidates have prior supervisory experience, either. In today's environment it is highly unusual for a company to not insist on one or both. This client is willing to look at high-potential candidates who have the drive, energy, passion and smarts to be a great leader but do not yet possess Director experience.
Candidates MUST have the following: at least a four year degree, five to ten years minimum in medical products other than pharmaceuticals, and an outstanding and verifiable track record of success in marketing positions. ****Please note that is absolutely not a sales job and candidates with no inside marketing experience in healthcare will be considered.
****Also please note that MEDICAL DEVICE or DIAGNOSTICS experience is an absolute must. If you do not have this experience you will not be considered.
Preferred experience includes an MBA, sales (medical or non), and supervisory experience.
