Director of Emergency Services

Management and direction of Emergency Services Department. Responsible for coordination of care for patient population from Newborn, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics.Provides overall direction; develops department goals and standards of performance; revises and implements policies and procedures; organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines in order to provide specified services to meet the legal, organizational, and Medical Staff guidelines; functions in an advisory capacity to Administration in evaluating proposed procedural changes as they relate to patient care; and directs the implementation and ensures compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimum healthcare delivery
REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of four years experience in Emergency nursing is required. Two of these four years must be in a Supervisory capacity. Completion of an Advanced EKG course is preferred, basis EKG training is required.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required, BSN is preferred but not required.Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas. Basic Life Support certification required. ACLS certification required. CPR instructor, CEN Certification and ACLS instructor preferred.
