The Director will manage the BWH's corporate and foundation program, currently generating $10-12 million in philanthropic revenue per year in support of the hospital's mission. The Director will work closely with hospital administrators, trustees, principal investigators (physicians, researchers, and scientists), sponsored research staff, and major gifts staff to develop and communicate the vision for support. S/he will develop a comprehensive strategy for corporate and foundation relations to secure complex gifts, including seven- to nine- figure gifts, which support, institutional priorities. S/he will plan and implement broad-based, coordinated approaches, strategies and solicitations for the top 20 national foundations. S/he will also be positioned to maximize corporate philanthropic opportunities. The Director will supervise a staff up to six.
REQUIREMENTS
' 10+ years of increasing fundraising responsibility in the academic, medical, scientific or educational arena
' Bachelors degree required, higher degree preferred
