Director, Admitting

Coordinates and directs the activities of Admitting/Registration, Insurance Verification/Reservations, Outpatient Scheduling, Financial Counselors, Cashier, Quality Assurance, and Bed Control to maximize reimbursement while maintaining public relations. Responsible for creating an ethical environment that enables the hospital and clinics to fulfill Tenet's mission, vision and values and meet or exceed its goal. Effective communicator, who clearly conveys the organization's mission, vision and values to all members of the staff. Continuously assessing and improving the performance of care and billing for services provided. Maintains a quality control program. Must invoke in the staff a sense of ownership of, and accountability for, their work. Reviews data collection, record keeping, reports, and documentation. Assures that patient care and services are delivered in a safe, competent, and efficient manner as determined by outcomes, quality monitors, and other internal and externals processes; in accordance with standards, policies and procedures. Conduct with staff and management is to contribute positively to the delivery of quality care and services. Skills are maintained and enhanced through interdisciplinary teams, planning activities, and educational/management developmental programs.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree and /or related degree and direct experience.

Three to five years experience in the healthcare field. Supervisor/managerial experience required. Good verbal and written communication skills.

Computer literate, Strong Organizational Skills, Leadership/Management.

Ability to make Critical Judgments Under Stress, Human Resources, Budget Monitoring.
