Dietitian / Clinical

Unit Description: Sodexho is seeking a Clinical Dietitian for an acute care facility in Alexandria,VA. This Hospital is a 339 bed community hospital located near interstate 395. The hospital has 3 intensive care units, telemetry/intermediate care units, surgery, oncology, renal, medical, women's and children's, and small PEDS and NICU units. The hospital offers outpatient nutrition counseling, including weight management classes. Provide clinical coverage to assist full-time RDs in meeting patient standards of care. Must be a registered dietitian with some experience in acute care hospitals preferred. This position is Part Time at 20 hours per week.Position Summary:
Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital personnel in principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction.Basic Education Requirement:
Bachelor's DegreeBasic Management/Supervisory Experience Required:
NoneBasic Functional Experience Required:
2 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
