CLINICAL SPECIALTY COORDINATOR - CARDIOVASCULAR DIAGNOSTIC CENTER

We are searching for a full time Clinical Specialty Coordinator for our Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center. This position, the Coordinator for the Catheterization Lab and PTCA holding area, will be responsible for patient flow through the Cath Lab and post procedure recovery area, staff scheduling, and communication with physicians & other departments.

Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the nursing plan of care for patients within the assigned area. Responsible to see that the nursing plan of care meets the physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patients served. Directs patient care through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel. Assists in the coordination of patient care through the appropriate utilization of all resources: staff, equipment, supplies, etc. As an expert in the assigned area, is a resource person to both medical center staff and physicians.

Required Education/Experience:
1. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
2. Possess minimum of 3 years related unit experience.
3. Minimum 2 - 4 years of demonstrated leadership performance.
4. Demonstrated experience in team building skills, self-directed work teams.

Preferred Education/Experience:
1. Certified in Specialty Organization.
2. Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Health Care Field.
