Shft: DaysJob Description:Data collection, analysis and information management from a variety of sources including treatment teams, case management, financial reports, patient satisfaction surveys. This person will be responsible for analysis of the information in relationship to the UDS (rehab national database) and integration of this information into daily operations of the rehab center. This person will be the primary Rehab Center contact with Uniform Data System management group in New York. Functions may include upgrading of systems, bi-annual staff competency training and integration with the IRF-PPS reimbursement system.
Timely preparation of reports and feedback for semi-annual quality monitoring, outcome system reporting, patient satisfaction to promote best practice. Stays current with literature in the field of rehabilitation and shares with appropriate staff. Has wide knowledge base of research being done in the field of rehabilitation. This person will work with the individual teams, ie, brain injury, spinal cord injury and stroke teams to promote and develop best practice and to maintain CARF accreditation. Assists with integration and analysis of information into the strategic planning process and rehab service operations. Has wide knowledge base of the direction of rehab services on a national level. Works with all levels of staff and interdisciplinary teams specialty teams to review, analyze and develop improvement plans based on the data. Provides feedback to the system on effectiveness of improvement plans.EXPERIENCE: Experience in data management, statistical analysis and computer skills such as Access, Paradox, Internet, Power Point or Presentations. A background in rehab physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, case management or CRRN is required with a minimum of 2 years of experience.EDUCATION: BA/B.S. in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Nursing, Research, or healthcare related field. Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Pathologist, Certified Rehabilitation Nurse (CRRN), or Registered Nurse.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Working knowledge of computer databases. Working knowledge of CARF and JCAHO standards; Strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards; strong project management skills; proven problem solving skills; strong communication skills; awareness of adult learning strategies; must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; integrity; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect .
