Shft: EveningsJob Description:Regulates the workflow efficiency of the department through formulating personnel assignments and staff scheduling. Assist in developing departmental action plans and makes recommendations for training and staff development to the Operations Director. Monitors productivity to assure maximum staff utilization. Contacts vendors for processing equipment repairs and service. Provides technical support for computerized inventory and process control. Schedules hours and assigns duties to personnel in order to process and/or distribute supplies and equipment to designated hospital areas effectively and efficiently. Communicates a professional attitude with the Central Services and other user departments. Coordinates Central Supply services with operating room functions, nursing units and other areas in order to provide services promptly and efficiently. Participate in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures.Experience: Position requires a minimum of three years of materials¿ management, preferably in a health care environment.Education/Licensure: Position requires a High School Degree. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must possess knowledge of processing and distribution of central supply and medical equipment; ability to utilize computer processing in day to day activities; ability to provide day to day work direction, orientation and training to other staff members; strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards; strong project management skills; good communication skills; good strategic planning skills; strong change management skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
