Control Buyer, Health and Personal Care

Health & Personal Care (HPC) is one of Amazon.com's fastest growing businesses. The leadership team is focused on delivering a world-class customer experience and exceptional sales and margin growth and we are looking for someone to join our group as a Health & Personal Care Control Buyer for Over-the-Counter products to execute category level inventory strategies to maximize sales, margin and turn. They will be responsible for end to end ownership from manufacturer to customer and should develop a strong partnership with merchandising to drive toward common goals.



ResponsibilitiesManage inventory, open-to-buy and inventory health Participate in manufacturer and vendor reviews; drive vendor scorecard excellence Liaison with operations and communicate operational impact of sourcing decisions Manage inbound shipments: fill rate, ASNs, operational issues, lead time Analyze inventory position, landed cost and sku performance to determine inventory liability, determine exit strategy for unproductive inventory
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience either as a planner or buyer. They must be highly organized, self-starting, and comfortable with business software, such as Excel and Access. The successful candidate must be flexible, possess good written and oral communication skills, be team oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines while working on several projects simultaneously. The successful candidate must possess the ability to operate from a company-wide perspective and encourage cross-functional and cross-business project development.
