Fair Compensation
Compensation for your profession is market competitive. Benefits are excellent with extremely low co-pays for full health insurance. A single person pays just $10 bi-weekly, a family $30 bi-weekly. The Opportunity
This position is responsible for planning, directing and managing the day-to-day compliance and internal audit functions for a health care corporation having a regional hospital with rural health clinics. In collaboration with the Office of General Counsel, establishes and implements an effective compliance program to prevent illegal, unethical or improper conduct. Responsible for identifying, assessing and correcting areas of compliance risk for the health system in an effective manner. Communicates and works with the Board of Directors, officers and front line staff. These responsibilities include educating, monitoring, auditing, advising and reporting of compliance efforts. Specifically, the Compliance Officer educates staff on the Code of Conduct and applicable compliance laws and regulations; responsible for the development of all appropriate monitoring and auditing plans to achieve effective results; updates and tracks all applicable policies and procedures; ensures appropriate investigation and resolution of all reports of non-compliance in a timely manner; and reports all tracked and trended program data. Finally, the Compliance Officer is responsible for directing the on-going management of HIPAA privacy and security; federal and state payor/payee compliance; anti-fraud functions; and any other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree. Master’s or professional degree in a healthcare field preferred. Excellent knowledge of healthcare and/or internal audit required. 3 years professional experience in a leadership capacity in a healthcare compliance office preferred. Superior interpersonal, analytical, computer skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of management in a diverse organization. Possess healthcare compliance certification from Healthcare Compliance Certification Board or similar organization or ability to obtain within one year of hire. Proficient in computer use.
