JOB SUMMARY:

The Community Relations Specialist is responsible for leading our sales team's field activities to attain enrollment goals (i.e. joint marketing projects, health fairs and community activities, provider training, marketing compliance and business and broker outreach). This position also processes State required documents to maintain compliance for Medi-Cal, Healthy Families and AIM events, maintains calendar of events, orders necessary collateral materials (includes maintaining inventory), schedules health education support, etc. The CRS makes decisions about what events and costs we will incur for routine outreach activities, within management guidelines and communications. The CRS represents Health Net at community or provider meetings as assigned.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops relations and information that will result in opportunities to increase HN enrollment targets.Plans and coordinates team meetings/presentations/activities to gain new enrollment and retain existing enrollment.Assigned as point person on key projects (i.e. California Teachers Association Outreach).Performs administrative duties related to the monthly and quarterly reports.Performs administrative duties related to events, materials and inventory.Represents Community Relations Department at both external and internal meetings as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS:


Education:
Four-year degree or equivalent experience in managed care or government products.


Certification/License:

Life and Health License (can be obtained within 90 days of employment).


Experience:

Minimum two years (with degree) or four years relevant experience.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Skills with business writing, public speaking, and negotiating.
Bilingual abilities preferred (Spanish, Chinese, Cambodian, Vietnamese).

Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
