Communication Specialist (Dispatcher)
Southwest Med Evac, a provider of air transport for critical care patients is seeking a Communications Specialist for its Las Cruces, New Mexico Communications Center. This individual will work as part of a team that receives calls and dispatches air medical crews that provide emergency and non-emergency medical transport throughout southern New Mexico and west Texas. Must be accurate and quick and willing to work variable shifts in a center that operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

The qualified candidate must possess a high school diploma. Sound judgment and decision making skills are essential. Should possess knowledge of basic computer operations, VHF radio consoles, repeaters, scanners, maps, and navigational aids. Prior communications center experience, EMT/ EMD or Paramedic certification is preferred.
