Clinical Nurse Specialist

This is a master’s prepared professional nurse with advanced knowledge and assessment skills in psychiatry. Duties will be performed on the inpatient unit as needed. Demonstrates the role functions of clinical expert, consultant, educator, researcher, and leader/change agent. Contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational efforts, research efforts, grant-funded efforts and leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
Master’s of Science degree in Nursing with appropriate speciality track. Two years experience in pediatric psychiatric nursing preferred. Currently licensed to practice nursing in the State of Ohio. Ability to function independently while adhering to the Ohio Board of Nursing rules and regulations for Advanced Practice Nurses. Current Health Care Provider BLS (or equivalent) training is required.
