Clinical Nurse Leader - Short Stay

This is an exciting opportunity to take part in the innovation of a newly designed unit at Borgess in the new Stryker Center Outpatient facility.

The focus of this position will be the development and oversight of the new short stay unit at Borgess' new Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment Center.

This position offers a diverse experience as the scope of oversight includes pre and post care of patients, including 23-hour stay patients.
The unit will take care of all patients requiring a procedure in Out-Patient Surgery, GI Lab, NIL, Special Radiology and will include infusion patients. This is primarily a first shift position with some Saturday morning responsibility and potential of taking some third shift call. Additional responsibilities will include providing consistent clinical leadership to department staff and facilitatation of proactive performance improvement initiatives at the department level. This role will also work to ensure patient care needs are met in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Additional responsibilities will include collaborating with leadership on maximizing the utilization of human, financial and material resources while adhering to ANA Code of Ethics and ANA Specialty Nursing Standards of Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
The candidate we are looking for is BSN or Bachelors prepared with 2+ years of professional nursing experience in acute care nursing with a background in PACU, admit/discharge and overall patient placement.

An interest and/or experience in developing a new unit with a creative outlook on design and set-up is desired.

A Current Michigan RN license (or eligible to receive). Leadership skills with a dedication to relationship building, problem solving and professionalism.
