Excellent opportunity in San Francisco, CA for a Coding Data Specialist!
The Coding Data Specialist will be responsible in coding adverse events, medical history, concomitant medications and any other pertinent findings reported within the CRF of a clinical study. Standardized dictionary terminologies will be used, MedDRA, WHO-DRUG, and the National Cancer Institute (CTCAE.)
Review and understand study protocols and other clinical related materials
Assists with the development of coding processes, standard operating procedures, and guidelines.
Ensures coding consistency, uniformity, and clarity across oncology Studies
Implements dictionary updates and maintenance of global medical dictionary, drug, and synonym dictionaries
Familiarity in working with clinical development and safety databases
Track study progress with Data Manager of outstanding coding queries for closure and resolution
Ability to code adverse events and concomitant medications data
Set up procedures for ongoing/final coding data review and quality assurance processes
Maintain an overall knowledge of regulatory guidelines, industry standards, and new technologies
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Bachelor's and professional qualification (e.g., RN, PharmD, PhD,) with at least 3 years of direct relevant experience
Therapeutic experience with Oncology desirable
MedDRA knowledge and impact on analysis report and product labeling
WHO-DRUG knowledge and familiarity with ATC Codes
Minimum 2 years experience with clinical systems such as CTMS, EDC, IVRS, Oracle Clinical
