PMP (Practice Management Partners, Inc.) is a leader in the physician medical billing outsourcing industry. We are searching for a Client Account Manager with experience in the healthcare industry and revenue cycle management to join a growing team of professionals working with physician practices in the Maryland and Virginia area.
As a Client Account Manager you serve as the primary interface and manage all aspects of multiple client relationships. You are responsible for insuring excellent service delivery in terms of researching client questions and addressing client billing problems. You will focus on relationship building and understanding client needs and managing the contractual fulfillment of assigned accounts.Successful candidates for Client Account Manager have previous experience in the healthcare industry and possess a solid background in all aspects of the physician revenue cycle management. You have the ability to travel locally and work as needed to meet company objectives.Typically these skills result in a undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience and 5+ years experience managing a centralized billing office (CBO) or working at a regional accounting firm with physician clients.

REQUIREMENTS
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:1. Interface with clients regularly to understand their overall objectives and maintain account relationship.2. Demonstrates to Management and the Client that they clearly understand the Clients’ business and revenue cycle activities and related issues3. Acts as the primary liaison with each assigned client. Should be able to provide high-level client management services, as well as ensure client access and exposure to specialized financial, reimbursement, strategic, and information management services.4. Set and proactively manage customer expectations while facilitating action within PMP to ensure that the services delivered to the Client meet or exceed their expectations5. Monitor the timeliness and quality of services provided to Clients. Actively manage the Client’s expectations while owning outcome resolution to Client issues6. Serve as a point of escalation for issues that clients encounter and expedite the resolution.7. Serves as the contact person for physician practices for billing questions and technology questions and problems.8. Ensure that all appropriate internal resources are utilized to efficiently, effectively, and consistently provide our client with business management services of the highest caliber, while achieving the profitability goals as set forth for the business.9. Serves as an internal resource for industry expertise when dealing with clients and prospective clients.10. Communicates with management regarding any problems or significant changes with clients and prospective clients.11. Work collaboratively with other functional areas including Operations, IT and Implementation to ensure that Client issues are dealt with timely and brought to closure.12. Demonstrates to Management that they understand and are knowledgeable over the level of work being undertaken by PMP to effectively service the Client as well as the magnitude of efforts undertaken by PMP (Operations, Implementation and IT) that are outside of the norm.
13. Consistently serves as an advocate and is supportive of all PMP Team members to the Client14. Gathers data and prepares financial analysis, studies financial reports, payer trends and A/R metrics using extensive knowledge of client's industry to identify relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers.15. Regularly conduct client meetings to review accounts receivable performance, payer issues and trends, and client's business strategies.16. Understands the Company and its service lines and actively assesses what the Company can deliver to bring value to clients.17. Maintains positive working relationships with physician practices.18. Assists in the development of and compliance with policies and procedures to support the operations of the billing department.19. Work requires travel to and from client sites; reliable transportation is a must.Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related discipline preferred.2. Possess a solid background in all aspects of enterprise-wide physician revenue cycle management3. Specific experience with managing a centralized billing office or a physician accounts receivable management team is preferred.4. Work requires knowledge of medical coding, physician billing, and collection processes.5. Work requires demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, data entry, insurance coverage and office procedures and the ability to interpret and understand reimbursement issues and reports.6. Demonstrated ability to standardize routine information and communications; is a change agent and independent thinker.7. Proactive, inquisitive, solution-driven and organized.8. Accountability-driven – sets high standards, can be effective and accountable even when resources are not within direct control or responsibility.9. Work requires strong analytical ability to resolve complex problems gather and interpret data from different sources and to complete assigned tasks and projects.10. Work requires strong communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of staff and customer.11. Strong relationship management skills, experienced with making effective presentations and is comfortable in working closely with physicians.12. Work requires working proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
