Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist

Status/Schedule: Status: Part Time Shift: Evening Average Weekly Hours: 24 hrs/wkShift(s): Primarily: 3:00pm-11:00p.m., 11:00p.m.-7:00a.m. Days as needed.
Days: Sunday-Saturday. Approximately two weeknds per month. Approximately three nights per month on-call duty.Department: Respiratory TherapyJob Description:Therapists provide medically sanctioned therapeutic modalities to patients as prescribed by physicians, their representatives, and hospital protocols such as Pulmonary Function Testing, chest physical therapy, nebulizer treatment, setting up of ventilator, and assisting with ambulance transfers. They must vary assigned schedules as needed to provide adequate coverage for clinical work, and to attend relevant inservice and departmental meetings. They are expected to quickly adapt to technical advances in their field and to learn the use of new equipment and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Must have successfully completed the National Board for Respiratory Care certification exam (CRT).Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience with adult critical care and pediatric patients.License Required: Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Vermont.
CRT: Grade P-24,Hiring Range: $15.28 - $16.81.
RRT: Grade P-26,Hiring Range: $16.48 - $18.31.
