Eight Mile Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, LLC, is a 172 bed skilled nursing facility that emphasizes superior medical staff specializing in geriatric and rehabilitation measures to offer a wide range of in-house services. Our team is comprised of Physicians, Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Rehabilitation Therapists, Social Workers and Registered Dietitians.
Certified Nursing Assistants perform various resident care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the residents.

Some key responsibilities include:
Provides nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures and ensures the safety and well-being of the residents is maintained.
Addresses resident’s needs and requests in a timely fashion.
Completes or assists residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and grooming in accordance with established Care Plan/Daily Care Guides.
Serves and collects food trays, feeds residents requiring help, provides meal supplements and fresh drinking water as necessary.
Records food and liquid intake and emission per policy.
Moves or assists residents in moving to and from bed as necessary, and transports residents using wheelchairs, or assists them with walking.
Takes vital signs on all residents, notifying Charge Nurse of any changes or findings beyond normal limits.
Reports all unusual conditions and reactions to nurse in charge.
Interacts with residents and family members, co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff.

REQUIREMENTS
Is listed on the State Nurse Aide Registry.
Posses a current (not expired or lapsed) Nurse Aide Certification.
High School degree or equivalent.
Long term care assistant experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
