Care Giver (DSP 7)ILS/SLS

Care givers, or Direct Support Professional's (DSP) as Good Shepherd Communities calls a care giver, are needed to assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily living activities. This position is in our supported living programs. We offer mileage reimbursement.As a faith-based organization, our employees must be willing to support Christ-centered values and beliefs. The spiritual lives of our clients and employees are an important part of the work we do.Currently DSP's help our clients learn valuable skills that help them maintain their independance. Tasks include helping our clients clean, balance their budget, cook, socialize with the community, attend church, shop for groceries, diet management, laundry, and staff members also do medication reminders.Opportunities for internal promotions. REQUIREMENTS
Must have valid drivers license, car, and insurance. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Prior experience of 1 year preferred. CPR and first aide also preferred, but we will sponsor to have it completed.
