The Cardio-Metabolic Sales Specialist will be responsible for maximizing Novartis product sales in an assigned therapeutic area. The Sales Specialist is responsible for all cardiologists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, and diabetologists within this territory.Primary responsibilities include writing a business plan with set territory specific objectives, direct promotion of select products to assigned physicians, and surpassing assigned sales goals. Additional responsibilities include developing thought-leaders and speakers, conducting promotional programs and representing and promoting Novartis as a leader in the assigned therapeutic area. The Sales Specialist must be able to work across functions with all Novartis associates in order to facilitate a well-coordinated Novartis effort within accounts. Sales Specialist must demonstrate strong disease state and product knowledge. The ability to develop strong professional relations is also essential in this role.Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Life Sciences, Pharmacy or Business related discipline)

Minimum of two years of demonstrated successful pharmaceutical sales experience.

Exceptional use of time management, planning, organizational and selling skills

Experience/ability to quickly learn and master key products and markets in assigned therapeutic area.
