CT/Radiology Technician


The job -
We're looking for 3 full time or part time people with a minimum of 3-6 years experience in Health Care to fill these CT/Radiology Technician roles. A.A.R.T CERTIFICATION is a required. The work is in Texas - Coppell. A typical work week will involve 40 hours. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree or better in Health Professions and Related Sciences.

Summary: Performs CT scans and routine x-rays, digitally processes CT’s and plain films, transports patients, and provides other routine assistance to Emergency Department staff in a freestanding Emergency Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

•Processes CT’s and routine x-rays digitally and maintains equipment.
•Reviews film for proper identification and quality check.
•Prepares films for reading by physicians.
•Transports patients to radiologic diagnostic procedures.
•Files films and records.
•Receives and stores incoming supplies. Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
•Processes records of radiological procedures performed.
•Properly images body part to be examined via CT or x-ray as ordered by the on duty physician.
•Properly uses shielding devices to immunize unnecessary patient radiation exposal.

•Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision.

Certificates and Licenses:
•Minimum A.R.R.T. (general radiology and computed tomography)
