CLINICAL SYSTEMS ANALYST

SUMMARY: Responsible for assuring the overall maintenance and/or new implementations of the hospital’s Health Care Information System (HCIS) clinical modules including but not limited to nursing, laboratory, microbiology, blood bank, pharmacy, radiology, nursing acuity, nursing care plans, order entry, PCI, departmental, admissions, abstracting, medical records, community wide scheduling, and interdisciplinary documentation through collaboration with other team members. Also, the Clinical Systems Analyst will work with all aspects of Information Systems, including financial applications and office productivity, which support the hospital’s business strategies and patient care mission.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED: Associate’s degree in a health related technology and two year’s related work experience or a high school diploma with a minimum of five year’s equivalent work experience in a healthcare/clinical setting. PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree in a health related technology, healthcare or business management field and two years related work experience in a healthcare setting. Previous experience with the Meditech HCIS.OTHER: Good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Windows desktop O/S and Office applications. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to work independently of direct supervision. Project management skills a plus.
