Clinical Staff Pharmacist-Full Time

This position is full time 40 hours per week. It includes working a combination of 8 and 10 hour shifts to include every third weekend. The shifts during the week include (7a-3:30p, 7a-5:30p, 8:30a-7p & 10:30a-7p). The weekend shift is 7a-4p in the summer and 7a-5p in the winter.

This clinical staff pharmacist evaluates and interprets orders; compounds; and dispenses medications according to written orders/prescriptions issued by an authorized prescriber. The clinical staff pharmacist will also
Identify, prevent, assess, and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome.
Promote, through criteria based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care.

Education/Experience:
B.S. or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy and a current pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems required

Knowledge/Skills:
Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services. Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology
Effective verbal and written communication skills are required
Ability to effectively participate on an interdisciplinary team or committee
Knowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics
Problem solving ability and analytical thinking preferred
