Responsible for Charge Therapist/Shift Coordinating duties with the ability to organize and assist with daily workload of Respiratory Care staff. Will assist with Patient Driven Protocols used for recommending therapeutic intervention for the patient with physician. Performs emergency airway maintenance including emergency intubation (training available).Performs patient/family education. Performs a specialized respiratory diagnostics (Bronchoscopy assistance) (training available). Must be proficient with the drawing and analysis of blood gas samples as well as the maintenance and troubleshooting of the blood gas and co-oximetry instrumentation. Performs preventative maintenance, calibrations/setup, operation and troubleshooting of all respiratory equipment.
