We are currently in need of a Branch Mgr. for our Richmond, VA Branch who exhibits strong leadership and the entrepreneurial ability to grow a Branch office. We currently have 7 Branch offices providing support throughout the Washington Metropolitan area and Richmond, VA.

As Branch Manager you will be responsible for performing management of all daily clinical/administrative operations for the branch. Must be knowledgeable regarding Oasis and regulatory issues. Must have 5+yrs. experience in skilled home health management, Medicare/Medicaid rules & regulations and overall management of staff and operations. BSN required.

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directs, plans, and coordinates activities of staff in rendering client home care.

1.Accountable for daily operations of skilled and personal care services utilized in the performance of skilled nursing, home health aide, and therapeutic services offered by the Agency.
2.Assures the quality, continuity, and delivery of skilled services.
3.Responsible for the financial management of costs necessary to deliver services.
4.Performs skilled nursing visits on an as needed basis.
5.Conducts performance appraisals in a timely manner. Administers discipline employee counseling, and if necessary, termination of staff according to company policy.
6.Performs periodic review of patient charts, employee visits, and daily activity reports to assure conformance with agency standards, licensure requirements, and professional community health nursing standards.
7.Participates in all agency activities relevant to the delivery of the skilled services provided, including maintaining, adhering, and communicating agency procedures and patient care policy.
8.Identifies in-service and educational needs of the staff through effective and continuing communication and consultation.
9.Collaborates with the Clinical Case Manager for Skilled Services in providing home health aide competency evaluations and in-services in accordance with federal guidelines.
10.Assists with an on going quality improvement program consistent with agency policies and procedures and compliance with federal and state guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Must be a registered nurse, currently licensed in the state of agency operation. BSN preferred, but will consider experience.
2.A minimum of five years nursing experience required, with three years of experience in home health preferred.
3.Must have knowledge and experience with Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations.
4.Must have 2 or more years of experience in management of staff and operations.
5.Must possess strong communication skills, leadership ability, and knowledge of professional standards of care.
6.Must be able to communicate articulately in English.
7.Must be able to function efficiently in a stressful work environment.
8.Must have good people skills.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The work requires light to moderate physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis such as: lifting bending, pushing, pulling stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Carrying of light to heavy items such as books, papers, files, medical/office supplies is expected to occur frequently as well as long periods of standing and sitting in the work area. This work also requires the ability to transport oneself to and from multiple work sites.
