***PROGRAMMER ANALYST SPECIALIST POSITION***Job Summary: Responsible for delivering services through people, process and technology. Works on understanding and delivering services to exceed customer expectations and/or Service Level Agreement (SLA's) deliverables. Duties may include implementation and oversight of recommendations and project management activities. Implements and maintains existing application programs and writes new processes. Design implementations, test, debug, document and maintains processes. Under minimal supervision, has responsibility for defining and documenting system requirements and specifications for all sizes of projects and systems. May be assigned to medium-to large sized projects as project leader. Senior level position requiring advanced technical knowledge in all areas of applications programming, system design, and update, storage and retrieval methods. Makes management presentations and submits reports as required. Individual will be working with the Application Maintenance group maintaining our Cerner Millennium environment. Performs other duties as needed.Job Specifications: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or computer related field required. Relevant experience accepted in lieu of education.Certified Cerner architect required. Certified in Cerner solutions. Eight years of applicable computer related experience or equivalent required. 2 years project management experience. Healthcare experience preferred. Excellent in analytic skills and ability to plan and organize technical work. Use spreadsheets and word processing, inputting data, typing, copying, speaking clearly and answering telephones. Excellent verbal and writing skills; able to communicate effectively on the phone; ability to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other department areas and users; good planning, problem solving, analysis and research skills. Must maintain exceptional interpersonal relations with peers, users, managers, directors and vendors.
