Specialty Beer/Wine Team Members

Provide excellent customer service. Prepare food items: cut, wrap and price cheese. Organize, stock, and rotate while continuously checking and ensuring freshness and quality of products. Stock paper goods and other supplies as needed. Prepare and maintain organized, clean and appealing active and passive demos. Continually check and ensure all products for proper quality, presentation and freshness. Maintain accurate spoilage log. Assist in monthly inventory. Comply with all applicable State of Washington Health and Safety Codes. Follow established Weights and Measures procedures (tares). Maintain and continually clean and keep department organized. Perform other duties, as assigned by Team Leader, buyer, supervisor or store leadership.
REQUIREMENTS
Entry level position. Some Specialty experience preferred. Ability to perform physical requirements of position. Willingness to taste and evaluate all products offered in department. Ability to prioritize tasks. Understanding and ability to effectively communicate Quality Standards to customers. Proficiency in math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Ability to learn proper use of baler (must be 18 years of age or older), slicer, heat wrap, pasta cutter machine, knives and all other equipment used during food preparation and clean up. Ability to work well and communicate with others as a part of a team. Understand the importance of accurately noting all waste, spoilage and transfers. Understand PLUs and UPC codes.
