Overnight Grocery Team Member

General Summary Performs all functions related to breaking down deliveries, moving back stock to floor, and stocking shelves. Maintain back room. Assist Team Leader in organizing and developing promotional displays. Provide excellent customer service at all times. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide excellent customer service, as outlined in the SW Excel manual. 2. Stock and clean Grocery shelves, bins, and cases. 3. Maintain back stock in good order. 4. Sweep floors and maintain sweep logs. 5. Face shelves throughout the department. 6. Comply with all applicable health and safety codes. 7. Log customers’ special orders. 8. Retrieve special orders for customers by request, and offer service out to car. 9. Respond to all Grocery pages quickly and efficiently. 10. Build displays and request appropriate signage. 11. Attend all team and store meetings. 12. Perform other duties, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, skills and abilities required: 1. Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department. 2. Ability to perform physical requirements of position (see below). 3. Proper use of box cutter and other opening devices. 4. Ability to learn proper use of baler (must be 18 years of age or older). 5. Ability to work well with others. 6. Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights and weekends as required. Working conditions: 1. Standing and walking for extended periods of time, up to 8-10 hours. 2. Bending, stooping, climbing. 3. Mental and physical dexterity. 4. Unassisted heavy lifting. 5. Work in varying temperatures (freezers, dairy case, etc., where applicable.) 6. Use of box cutters. 7. Use of electric pallet jacks or other heavy machinery. 8. Mandatory use of required personal protective equipment. 9. Use of ladders. 10. Iteration of duties. Additional Responsibilities: 1. Maintain a safe and sanitary department. Report all life safety and fire hazards to your Team Leader for correction. Comply with all occupational safety and health regulations.
