Function: Operations (Beef, Poultry, Pork, etc.)Pay Type: ExemptPosition Number: 10270718 Mgr FarmEmployee Type: Full Time Shift N/AJob Description: SUMMARY: This position is part of a group of Team Members who are committed to supplying cost competitive, high quality pork by taking care of people, achieving operational and environmental excellence, managing risks and exceeding customer expectations in a workplace that provides for individual dignity and respect. This position is responsible for all aspects of the business at the unit level. Farm Managers are responsible for the production of a high quality product in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work place and clean environment. Specific duties include directing and providing leadership to Farm Team Members, all costs and production volumes at the unit level including spending/budgeting, the safety of Farm Team Members, the biosecurity of the unit, and all environmental issues including pit and lagoon level compliance, water and air quality and waste removal. Farm Managers are expected to have a complete knowledge of the animal flow, processing, ventilation, feeding and vaccination protocols. Other requirements are ensuring customer satisfaction including PQA and maintenance including facility and dwelling maintenance. Farm Managers are responsible for implementing and monitoring policies and procedures including standard operating guidelines and human resources policies and procedures. Farm Managers are also responsible for reporting production numbers, environmental numbers, safety issues, accidents and human resources issues timely and accurately as well as any other duties that may arise. Farm Managers are expected to build working relationships with other Team Members that foster open communication, increased productivity and safety.REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelors degree in an agricultural field or equivalent preferred.Experience: Depends on level of education obtained. Must possess 1+ years of experience in live hog production and 1+ years of experience in management without a Bachelor degree.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are required.Travel: Travel is not required.Supervisory Skills: This position is responsible for managing one or more groups of Team Members who perform like activities.POSITION REPORTS TO: Pod Manager
