Henning’s Market is a leading upscale Fresh Food Market in Harleysville, PA, which features The Fresh Market Buffet, Henning’s COFFEE HOUSE, Made from Scratch Bakery, Chef Made Entrees & Side Dishes, Henning’s In a Hurry Family Style Packaged Meals, Grill, Pizzeria & Sandwich Shop.Henning’s Market is currently seeking to fill an opening in our Food Service Department for a Full-Time Line CookThe candidate must be energetic with great drive, attitude and determination. As well as, possess great organization and customer service skills, with a desire to learn and grow with our organization.The duties will include, but not limited to
Preparing homemade Gourmet Foods for our Fresh Market Buffet, Chilled Case & Made to Order Grill Menu.
Prepare food of consistent quality following production and portion standards.
Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to prepare more than estimated needs.
Date all food containers and rotate as per the food standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per standards.
Help to replenish all food items during the meal period. Keep all items fully stocked even up until the last minute we are open.
Receive and unpack the items as they arrive from food venders. Date all items as they arrive.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified Candidates for this position must:
Minimum of 1 year cooking experience required.Experience in large batch cooking a plus.
Assist in prep work.
Assist with Special Social Functions.
Maintain an inventory of needed supplies
Certified in Food Handling.
Be familiar with store and hours.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Be able to lift 50 lbs.
Stand for long periods of time.
