Grocery Team Leader

This is a great opportunity for a highly organized, motivated person who is not afraid to make changes and stand behind them. Harbor East is on the threshold of a sales explosion as the largest combined retail-residential building in the city of Baltimore is set to open across the street in less than a year. This team is easy pickings for someone with All*Star aspirations. Will Do: Set, and achieve, the highest standards in retail execution. Provide our customers with great customer service. Train, and lead, an outstanding team in a manner consistent with regional vision and standards. Set high expectations for Specialist and Team Members. Make tough decisions and not take the easy way out. Evaluate Team Members strengths and weaknesses and use them appropriately. Implement and fully support all regional programs. Hire, train, coach, lead, and hold team members accountable. Maintain high team morale. Achieve required margin and labor targets. Drive team productivity. Maintain well-stocked and merchandised department. Work a minimum of one closing shift per week, as well as one weekend day per week. Work all inventories as required, and monitor inventory levels and purchase journals. Uphold all standards pertaining to cleanliness and HACCP programs. Train team members in all areas of the department. Be an active participant in the store leadership team.
REQUIREMENTS
Written action plan. Highest level of integrity. In depth experience in, and understanding of, all areas of Grocery operations. Excellent customer service skills and standards. Excellent merchandising skills. Workable knowledge of department financials and labor budgets. Great people and motivational skills. Good written and oral communication skills. High standards of excellence. Flexible schedule, and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Proven team player. Moderate computer skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. In an 8 hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours, sitting 1-4 hours. Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling.
