Grocery Specialist

Performs all functions related to breaking down deliveries, moving back stock to floor, and merchandising new products and stocking shelves. Purchases grocery products and participates in regional program for purchasing and promotions. Assists Team Leader in organizing and developing promotional displays; maintaining back room, training of entry-level grocery team members. 1. Perform all duties and responsibilities of Grocery Clerk 2. 2. Orders all primary grocery products. 3. Responsible for achieving and exceeding margin and sales targets. 4. Request and ensure proper signs for all sale items. 5. Participates in regional promotional program. 6. Process invoices and returns. 7. Controls spoilage; generate turn movements: and participates in monthly inventory. 8. Build displays and request appropriate signage. 9. Must receive TCS scores of 9 or better. 10. Comply with all applicable State of California Health and Safety Codes. 11. Provide excellent customer service. 12. Perform other duties, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum 1 year retail grocery experience, or equivalent. 2. Proficient in math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Excel proficiency a plus. 3. Excellent organizational skills. 4. Ability to perform physical requirements of position. 5. Proper use of baler (must be 18 years of age or older). 6. Ability to work well with others.
