Grocery Associate

Essential Job Functions:
1.Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on courteous and friendly customer service.
2.Cut, mark, and stock cases as outlined in the Grocery Best Practice manual.
3.Assist customers with finding items when asked in a courteous and friendly manner.
4.Maintain productivity levels at or above company standards.
5.Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures.
2.Comply with the company’s personal appearance policy.
3.Assist in training and other special projects as assigned by management.
4.Maintain solid communication in the department and throughout the organization.
5.Maintain a high standard of quality workmanship in the performance of all specific duties and responsibilities assigned.
6.Maintain good communications with the management team and all other associates.
7.Support company safety standards. Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed.
8.Maintain a clean and organized work area, both in the storage and sales floor area.
9.Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
10.Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Enthusiastic about food and food preparation. Good interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team environment. Effective communication and excellent customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:
1.Lift up to 20 lbs regularly, including overhead lifting, and up to 40 lbs. occasionally. Push/pull up to 40 lbs. regularly.
2.Meet established volume/activity standards.
3.Stand or walk 100% of the time.
4.Frequent reaching, grasping and lifting individual stock items below waist level or above shoulder level.
5.Frequent bending.
6.Be able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials and food products.
7.Tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time.
