FOOD SERVICE MANAGER-AUSTIN

Randalls Food Markets, located in Austin, Texas has openings for Food Service Managers.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
? Schedule, supervise, train, and assign duties to department employees.
? Plan daily operation, monitor production process following company procedures and profitability guidelines.
? Prepare sales and inventory reports.
? Specific knowledge of duties performed by all department employees.
? Know opening and closing department procedures.
? Train employees in store policies, sales and record keeping procedures.
? Assist sale, food preparation, and other hot deli personnel in completing their tasks.
? Monitor employees’ productivity and evaluate their overall performance.
? Confer with cook and other food preparation personnel. Plan menu and food service operation.
? Initiate personnel actions such as pre-employment interviews, transfers, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
? Working knowledge of company policies and guidelines as outlined in the Randalls / Tom Thumb Employee Handbook.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:
? College Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree.
? Minimum 1 year experience in Food Service retail and/or 6 months in retail management.
? Must have successfully completed the Randalls/Tom Thumb Management Training Program.
? Must have a minimum score of “Satisfactory” on Performance Evaluation.
? Must have not received any documented disciplinary actions within the previous 6 months.
? Minimum 80% Superior Service personal success rate.

Working Conditions and Physical Functions:
? Able to work in varied temperatures.
? Ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers. Visual acuity sufficient to read product labels, coupons, and prices.
? Independent mobility within the department. Standing and walking for 8-10 hours.
? Strength to lift, push, or pull objects weighing 60 pounds.
? Ability to work a flexible schedule.
? Perform other duties as required.
