Demo Team Member

The Demo Team Member is a key member of the in-store Marketing Team. The Demo Team Member is responsible for introducing products to customers and providing consumer product education. They also have a responsibility to vendors to gather consumer information and opinions about the products. Demo Team Members must have strong food and food sanitation knowledge, possess excellent customer service skills, be flexible and be able to work weekends. The ability to cook meat and non-meat products is a must. In addition, Demo Team Members must be organized and well spoken.
REQUIREMENTS
Demo Responsibilities - Perform up to 20 product demonstrations per month. - Educate customers and sell product. - Ensure that vendor sponsored demos are 4 hours on the sales floor (set up, clean up, and paperwork time is additional). - Adhere to sanitation procedures when doing a demonstration and handling food. Gloves and hat must be worn during all demos. - Maintain demo equipment. - Creatively merchandise demo product. - Assist fellow demo team members to make every demo creative and successful. - Display marketing materials provided by vendor. Work with store artist to create signage. - Closely assist the Marketing Team Leader to execute marketing events. - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occastionally. - Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours at a time. Paperwork Responsibilities - Record sales of product movement on the Report Summary Sheet - to be turned in each week. - Complete all paperwork neatly, legibly and thoroughly. - Check and respond to email on a regular basis. - Work with Demo Specialist to assure that all possible vendor demos are scheduled and performed - Work with the Demo Specialist and the Marketing Team Leader to schedule, perform and execute a full period of well merchandised, department approved non-paid demos. - Work with Team Leaders to ensure ample product for demos is being ordered. - Communicate with Demo Specialist any in-store issues regarding product availability or changes in demo schedule.
