Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

This is a semi-skilled position in the operation and maintenance of the Water/Wastewater Department. Work involves responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the Department processes and equipment and requires knowledge of safe operating practices and procedures. Additionally, this position requires the ability to meet emergency conditions. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Assistant Superintendent.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
·High school diploma or GED.
·1-3 years experience and/ or training in the operation or maintenance of a Water/Wastewater facility.
·Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain Class A- CDL license within 6 months.

Additional Information:
·Wage starting at $18.43-$23.97/hour (plus .40 shift differential) DOQ.
·Position is a third shift position: 11:30pm-8:00am.
·WWTP operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; operators must be available for emergency call-ins, holiday & overtime.
