The Navy offers generous scholarship programs, financial assistance and selection bonuses for the best and brightest. This compensation allows you to focus on studies, then take on a distinguished Navy Officer position.

Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program (BDCP): Sign on to become a future Navy Officer and get up to $90,000 in financial assistance while still in school. That’s a salary of at least $2,242 per month for up to three years prior to graduation.

Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate (NUPOC) Program: As a future Nuclear Officer, get up to $140,000 in financial assistance while finishing your degree. That includes a $15,000 selection bonus once accepted, a monthly income from $2,600 to $4,100 (depending on your location) for up to 30 months, plus a $2,000 bonus upon completion of training.

REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ELIGIBILITY
To become a Navy Officer, you must:


Be a U.S. citizen
Be a current student or graduate of a four-year college or university (type of degrees accepted vary by specialty)
Be at least 19 years old (maximum age differs depending on Officer specialty)
Achieve a qualifying score on the Officer Aptitude Rating (OAR) Exam
Meet the Navy’s physical standards
