Telecommunications Engineer

Install, configure, test and maintain network hardware including but not limited to: Cisco 2500, 2600, 2800, 3750, 3800, 7000, series routers, Cisco 1900, 2950, 3550, 3700, 6500 series switches, Marconi ATM switches, CSU/DSU’s, and multiplexers. Advise network users of hardware requirements, configurations and limitations. Isolate, resolve or circumvent network problems. Plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network. Instruct personnel on use of new equipment. Initiate and coordinate repair of vendor-owned equipment. Maintain contact with clients during problem restoration and advise customers and management of restoration status. Monitor network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options. Document network operations and configurations with Microsoft Office applications. Design and build databases for efficient information management.


Job Requirements


BS degree plus 5-7 years of experience.
MUST Have TS/SCI Clearance.
