Senior Military Exercise Analyst (293461)

Lockheed Martin Information Technology Professional Services is looking for a Senior Military Exercise Analyst to assist the Army Materiel Command (AMC), Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations (G-3), Directorate for Current Operations in its mission to provide staff oversight, monitoring, and management of Exercise issues related to the stand up of the Army Sustainment Command. Candidate will provide assistance to the Directorate in defining the scope of staff responsibilities associated with this emerging mission, and will be expected to quickly become a Subject Matter Expert in regard to the ASC and the Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) process. Candidate will assist in developing all aspects of an operational exercise program at a MACOM level, to include assistance in formulating policies, procedures, guidance and training plans. Candidate will participate and assist in planning training exercises (CPX, MSE, FTX, JTX, etc.); will develop exercise monitoring and evaluation procedures and supporting automated databases; and will assist in monitoring exercises and evaluating performance. Candidate will assist in providing SOP guidance to Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) and publishing exercise planning guidance directed at both HQAMC and subordinate commands. Candidate will monitor the ARFORGEN process and ensure training exercises reflect the organizations’ progress through their particular phase. Candidate will assist in gathering lessons learned and will ensure incorporation in future exercises. Candidate will work closely with Training and Readiness personnel in an integrated team effort to support the needs of the directorate.This is a full-time position located on Fort Belvoir, Virginia. REQUIREMENTS: US Citizen with a current Department of Defense security clearance (required). (selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information). This position requires 7-10 years related experience. Applicant must have an extensive background in Army exercises from the company to the Brigade Combat Team level and must have substantial experience with training and exercise plans, doctrine and regulations, ARTEPs, small unit and collective training and exercises. Experience with Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Joint Sponsored Exercises, MACOM level exercises and Combat Training Center exercise planning is a major plus. Applicant must be a self-starter with the ability to take concepts and develop new programs/processes with little guidance. Applicant must have good writing skills and must be highly computer literate with familiarity in PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Education: Bachelors Degree required.
