Propulsion System Engineer

Propulsion system engineer to support end-to-end systems definition and engineering processes (requirements synthesis, allocation and verification), risk management/abatement, planning, coordination, scheduling, interface definition, test planning including development, qualification/certification, acceptance, pre-flight, flight and post-flight operations and problem identification and resolution. Objective/Purpose: Provide system engineering and system development engineering support from design through system certification and test flights. Deliverables: The candidate engineer will support the following Program milestones: •Develop program review plans/instructions and packages relative to the propulsion systems engineering effort •Support major programmatic reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, DCR, “CARR” and FRR) •Integrate configuration item verification data obtained during system build and test to support system acceptance (DD-250) by NASA
REQUIREMENTS
Background: A broad background in the design, integration, test and flight operations of spacecraft propulsion systems. In addition to supporting major program milestone reviews, candidate must be able to organize/participate in side bar issue resolution sessions, channeling discussions effectively toward productive conclusions and actions. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills and be able to present and convey complex technical information in a clear, precise and logical manner.
