Program Manager to support the Air Force, excellent benefits!

Overview:
This individual will run the Air Force Technical and Analytical Support (AFTAS) program by providing leadership to assigned employees, managing resources, and producing deliverables for the program’s customers. The Program Manager will be considered a member of the CLR management team.

As the Program Manager, you will:
• Be responsible for all aspects of program performance (administrative, contractual, technical, and financial).
• Determine staffing requirements, interview and hire new employees.
• Review timecards, expense reports, and training requests; conduct performance appraisals for employees.
• Assign responsibilities to employees and oversee the successful completion of all tasks.
• Consult with customers to insure requirements are completely understood, the quality of work performed is satisfactory, and to ensure conformity to contractual obligations.
• Create and maintain reports to track program progress; present these reports to customers and CLR management.
• Negotiate with subcontractors for specialized skills required by the program.
• Take the initiative in identifying potential business and bringing it to the attention of CLR management.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in a technical discipline and 10+ years of program/project experience in government contracting OR Bachelor’s degree with additional experience
• Supervisory experience
• Ability to work well independently as well as with others as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Currently possess or is eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required.)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Military experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with Department of Defense contracting
• Understanding of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
• Familiarity with Air Force acquisition and acronyms
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project
