The Gilbert Police Department is seeking motivated men and women interested in a career as a Police Officer. Requirements to Test:
20 ½ years old, high school diploma or GED, no felony convictions, meet Arizona P.O.S.T. standards, US citizen, good driving record, no dishonorable discharge from US Armed Forces. Police Officer Recruits attend an 18-week police academy and upon completion, are sworn in and begin their patrol duties as a police officer in Gilbert. Police Officers are required to complete a 16-week Field Training program where they are trained by a training officer while on patrol.

Regarding Testing:
There is no study guide for the Gilbert Police Department Recruit Test. The written test consists of a video test in which applicants view 54 scenarios and answer multiple choice questions. It also includes a reading comprehension test and a section requiring that applicants write a brief report about an incident viewed from video.

All Police Officer Recruit applicants who pass the written exam will be scheduled to take the physical agility test the morning following the written test.

Statement of Personal History completely and attach the required documents such as a photocopy of your birth certificate, high school diploma or GED, and DD214 form if you were in the military.
