Get in on the ground floor! Coalinga State Hospital, in conjunction with UC Irvine, is inviting applications for psychiatrists. Coalinga State Hospital is the first new State psychiatric hospital built in California in over 50 years. With its 1,500 beds, almost exclusively devoted to the treatment of sexually violent predators, it is a state-of-the-art facility. It is closely affiliated with the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, and will train medical students and residents. A forensic fellowship program is being developed. This is an excellent opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible clinician interested in general adult psychiatry as well as forensic psychiatry.
