With the expected growth of the City of Arlington, due to the re-location of the National Football League's Dallas Cowboys in addition to presently hosting Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers and Ameriquest Field, the police department is expanding to meet the increased future needs for our city and is adding police officer positions. The City of Arlington also hosts Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.

These additional police officer positions will lead to increased opportunity for promotions as well as positions in detectives and specialized units in a shorter period of time for individuals wishing to enhance their law enforcement careers.

Excellent compensation includes the following ADDITIONAL PAY & BENEFITS:

*$110 per Month Education Pay
*6% Shift Differential
*$50 per Month - Bilingual Pay
*5% Field Training Officer
*$50 per Month - Detective Pay
*$300 Clothing Allowance

Stability Index Pay is paid at the following rates, after 5 years of continuous service:
*Police Officer 112.33 x yrs
*Sergeant 136.83 x yrs
*Lieutenant 141.13 x yrs

Compensation does not include the large number of off-duty jobs available for uniformed City of Arlington Police Officers from private businesses within our city. Pay range- $30-$35 an hour.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications: United States citizen, Twenty-one (21) years of age, Bachelors Degree in any discipline, NO Felony or Class A Misdemeanor convictions. No experience necessary. Department operated, licensed and accredited police academy.
