Woodward Resource Center is a state - operated 280- bed facility for adults and adolescents with mental retardation and developmental disabilities. Our beautiful 110-acre campus is located just 30 minutes from both Des Moines and Ames, IA.

Our areas of emphasis include: physical disabilities, sensory integration, autism, mental health and feeding and swallowing disorders. We work closely with speech - language pathology, physical therapy, and our adaptive equipment center, as well as various interdisciplinary teams and groups across our campus.
