Salary and Hours: $51,401 to $71,965 annually with benefits. Paid every two weeks. Forty hours per week. This position is regular, fulltime, and subject to a six-month probationary period.

Nature of Work: The primary function of this employee is to perform a variety of complex technical duties in the analysis, evaluation and implementation of computer and/or network system security; threat assessments of new or emerging vulnerabilities; and other threats as they relate to deployed technologies. Provide technical and user assistance to departments; to assist in the procurement of hardware and software; to complete system evaluations and support services; and provide complex administrative support to management.

Some examples of job responsibilities will be to perform duties including, but not limited to, evaluation and implementation of computer and/or network security systems; threat assessments of new and emerging vulnerabilities and other threats as it relates to deployed technologies; maintain information security lab, website and security tools; monitor and act on security events/alerts from our various security tools; representative for information security during project meetings; document security tools, processes and procedures; complete system evaluations and support services; backup all systems data to ensure restoration from full system down to one file, restores data when needed, and keeps required history; set up and maintain users access and rights on the network, all host systems; removes rights and roles of terminated users on the network; maintain security of all systems data through access rights; liaison to building security to ensure accurate and current access and provide security awareness training to city staff as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements: At least three (3) years experience in IT security functions, system programming, networking and database operations;

One to two years of technical school or college level courses in computer science;

Prefer TCP/IP networking with one or more of the following CCNA, SSCP, GIAC, CompTIA Security, CNA/CNE MCP or MCSE, A+.

Consideration will be given to any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Testing and Certification Requirements: Drug Screen: The City of Chandler conducts pre-employment drug testing and background check. All offers of employment are contingent upon results of drug screen.

The examination process may vary if determined necessary.
