This position is for the Navy RAC & AGVIQ/CH2M HILL JV-II Program. Position could be located in our Atlanta, Virginia Beach or Jacksonville office locations.
SUMMARY OF JOB:The Program Manager (PG01)position is the fifth level of the project management career path. A program, by definition, is a group of projects managed in a systematic coordinated way to obtain benefits not available from managing them individually. The PG01 is a highly marketable leader whose personal professional experience provides an advantage to the firm in competing for large and/or complex projects or programs. The PG01 is capable of being a leader in sales efforts for projects or programs for which he/she is proposed. The PG01 manages medium to large size programs and has accountability for all projects under the program.KEY DUTIES:
Provide leadership in the program-wide application of CH2M HILL’s Project Delivery System.
Ensure client expectations are met/exceeded regarding quality, schedule, and budget.
Manage safety, quality, planning, staffing, scheduling, and budgeting processes.
Participate in program and project decisions regarding technology, cost and scheduling, and performance.
Ensure financial performance of the overall program and underlying individual projects.
Attract, develop, and retain PM resources through individual coaching and participating in the development and delivery of PM-oriented learning events.
job Requirements
B.S. in Engineering required. M.S. in Engineering or related business discipline (i.e. MBA) preferred. Registered Professional Engineer required. Project Management Professional or Certified Construction Manager desired.
20 plus years applicable experience required. Experience managing multi-task programs; managing engineering and construction projects; and building and directing large, multi-disciplined teams. Experience with federal procurement regulations and contracting practices.SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
Client Service Management,Team Management and Leadership, Interpersonal and Communication Skills with senior client and company personnel, Risk Management, Financial Management, Project Planning and Controls, Change Management, Contract/Subcontract Management. Previous work experience with environmental remediation D/B work with federal cost reimbursable ID/IQ contracts desired. Public or private sector experience on large environmental programs. Design/build environmental projects with value in excess of $25 million. Requires the ablility to identify and attract prospective clients. Travel required. Background check and drug test required.
