NTC Operations Coordinator

Titan Req. No.: ISB047Duties and Responsibilities:NTC Operations Coordinator (OC) reports directly to the NTC Operations Manager. He is also responsive to the Director for Exercise and Training Support (DETS) staff. The NTC OC interacts and works directly with USG/US Army NTC training and support staff for mission planning, and manages all NTC L-3/subcontractor operations. NTC OC provides guidance on all NTC field training to both L-3 and subcontractor personnel. The NTC OC is also responsible for coordinating training with subcontractor team members for all contract support.General Duties: NTC OC ensures that all linguists and support staff fully understand the NTC mission and responsibilities for performance.NTC OC maintains rapport, personal and email contact, and identifies action items for coordination with E&TS and NTC customers for their requirements.NTC OC develops and nurtures productive relationships with NTC customer, ensuring NTC Operations Manager and all subordinate site managers have an up-to-date understanding of the customer’s changing mission and requirements.NTC OC provides mid-level mediation for meetings between the NTC customer and support staff and provides answers/solutions to the customer’s questions/problems.Ensures NTC OC reports are completed with accurate information and forwarded as required.NTC OC coordinates with NTC Operations Manager to ensure training plans produce desired customer service results, consistent with the overall mission and strategic plan for NTC training support.NTC OC ensures 100% completion of all items identified and addressed as appropriate training requirements by the NTC training staff.NTC OC, in coordination with NTC Operations Manager, ensures a flawless execution of the mission so as to enhance the company reputation in the customer’s eyes and thus enhance the opportunity for the development of new business.NTC OC maintains constant communication with the DETS staff, subordinate site managers, and NTC training staff.NTC OC maintains awareness of past situation reports, Significant Incident Reports (SIRs) and contract deliverable reports.
Reviews role player role development and proposes enhancements to both the customer and the NTC Operations Manager. Works toward increased fidelity of all translator and role player roles.Education and Experience Requirements:Minimum Required: High School Diploma. At least 5-10 years staff-level training and operations experience (preferably retired military staff non-commissioned officer). Understanding of military customs, courtesies, and procedures. Familiarity with Middle Eastern and Iraqi culture and customs. Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications, typing and composition. SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one. Must be willing to travel/work local to Fort Irwin, CA. Must be willing to travel to other military installations within CONUS. Willingness to work long hours and small break days for certain periods.Desired: Previous experience managing support personnel during training operations or in support of military training operations within Iraq or Afghanistan. US Army service is a plus. Recent deployment experience to Iraq, either as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces or as a defense contractor. Recent experience managing pre-deployment training activities at the National Training Center, the Joint Readiness Training Center, or similar training environment. An extensive military training background. Ability to recognize opportunities to develop new business. Skilled at developing and nurturing productive relationships with customers. Ability to communicate with government customers, and with subordinate staff and site managers simultaneously at multiple locations. Able to supervise and train staff replacements - in-brief, train and certify qualified candidates for linguist operations positions needed at NTC. Capable of providing mediation for meetings between the NTC training staff and L-3 staff, as well as able to provide solutions to concerns.
